Dr. Dana M. Hubbard, widely known as Dr. D, is a trailblazer dedicated to creating transformative community impact through the power of healing.

With over 20 years of experience in social work, Dr. D has built a career centered on advocating for and supporting BIPOC communities, veterans, and Black women—populations disproportionately impacted by trauma. Her life’s mission is to address the deep-rooted effects of trauma and inspire systemic change to uplift underserved communities.

Dr. D’s journey began as a social worker in crisis intervention, navigating the complexities of acute trauma and mental health care.

Her commitment to service led her to the United States Air Force, where she served as a social worker, providing support to service members and their families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Over the years, Dr. D transitioned into organizational leadership and management, where she honed her expertise in leveraging human capital—the most vital resource of any organization—to drive success. She believes that when employees are empowered and supported, organizational success becomes inevitable.

In 2019, Dr. D took a leap of faith and founded Vitality Health and Wellness, a private practice focused on providing trauma-informed care to underserved populations.
What began as a small dream has grown into a thriving organization that has touched countless lives. Through her work, Dr. D has not only created a safe space for healing but has also set a standard for culturally competent care that resonates with the unique needs of BIPOC individuals, veterans, and Black women.

With her latest initiative, The Hubb Zone, Dr. D is expanding her mission to a macro and global scale.
The Hubb Zone serves as an incubator for young entrepreneurs and mental health professionals, particularly those from underserved populations. By curating resources, fostering innovation, and providing mentorship, Dr. D is inspiring the next generation of leaders to break barriers and build successful businesses that prioritize community impact.
